“At age 7, my older sister was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor called Craniopharyngioma. Over her life span, she underwent 40+ surgeries requiring my family and me to spend many nights at The Ronald McDonald House in NOLA. RMHC-SLA provided a place of solace and peace as my family prayed for my sister’s condition. God blessed my sister with 26 years here on earth, and Ronald McDonald House helped make trying nights a lot easier.
I recently accepted the role of Family Room Coordinator with RMHC in Lafayette, LA, and it was something I didn’t know I needed. It has provided me with an opportunity to help families in the same way mine was. It’s funny how life comes full circle!
In loving memory of my sweet sister, Crystal Jon-Kaye Francis.” Tyler Roman (child on the left), Family Room Coordinator
