Paisley

red-squiggle

When baby Paisley was only 16 days old, she was flown in from Shreveport, LA to receive medical treatment at Children’s Hospital New Orleans.  She was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis which is a rare genetic disease that causes non-cancerous tumors to grow in the brain and several areas of the body.  Paisley has an enlarged tumor that is pressing against her diaphragm and her bladder which required her to undergo immediate surgery.

Her mom, Michelle, is a young mom who was afraid of being here alone without family to support her.  Imagine being a young, single mom facing this…

She says, “my stay so far has been good.  The staff have been helpful and caring.  They treat me like family, and they also introduced me to another mom close to my age who is also helping me during my stay and with this journey”.
