This year’s Festival International de Louisiane raised $2,500 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana through the sale of its official festival pin.
Each year, a local artist designs the collectible pin, with a portion of the proceeds going to a selected nonprofit. For 2025, 50 cents from each pin sold benefited RMHCSLA, which supports families of seriously ill or injured children by providing housing, meals and emotional support near hospitals.
Festival Executive Director Scott Feehan has a personal connection to the cause. His family once relied on Ronald McDonald House while his son received medical care.
The donation will support programs like the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Lafayette. In 2024, the Family Room served 48 families and 162 individuals, thanks to the support of more than 1,100 volunteer hours.
RMHCSLA also operates a Ronald McDonald House in New Orleans and Hospitality Carts that serve hospitals across the region.
