Remembering Hurricane Katrina 15 years later

red-squiggle

It’s been 15 years since Hurricane Katrina decimated New Orleans and Ronald McDonald House New Orleans remained closed for 11 months as we repaired the damage. This artwork hangs proudly in our House hall, each leaf representing an RMHC chapter that helped us to rebuild.

We are so proud of the House that love rebuilt after the storm, and the journey we are embarking on to build our new house in partnership with Children’s Hospital!

We also reflect on the power of community as our neighbors in Southwest Louisiana and the Texas Gulf Coast face a similar challenge following Hurricane Laura. #strongertogether
