Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana recently opened the doors to its new house in the heart of Children’s Hospital New Orleans’ campus. The new location increases available housing, programming and services to families from across the region whose children receive vital medical services in New Orleans.

The number and size of community spaces in the house allow for more onsite volunteer-led activities, which is the heart of the charity’s programming. Families have access to a 64-person dining room, an outdoor barbecue space and other community spaces.

The new 17,500-square-foot house increases the overall accommodations for families by the  charity by 47%.
