Guest Expectations
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana (RMHC-SLA) provides a warm, safe comfortable place to stay for families of critically injured or seriously ill children who are hospitalized or receiving treatment from any New Orleans area medical facilities or offices.
Accommodations
At Ronald McDonald House, each family is assigned to one of 15 bedrooms. The House is a communal environment, so we ask that all guests be considerate of others in the House to keep everyone’s stay as pleasant as possible.
The House features a large kitchen that is stocked with basic kitchen items, including pots, pans, dishes, glassware. Additionally, there are 2 comfortable family rooms, an indoor play area and a pantry that provides basic food staples. While the House provides linens, towels, cleaning supplies and basic toiletries, we recommend that families bring any additional personal or food needs. There are 2 laundry rooms on site for guest use.
A donation is not required to stay at the House; however, there is a suggested donation amount of $10 per night per night. Please note, no eligible family is ever asked to leave the House or denied future stays because they could not or did not donate.
RMHC-SLA management reserves the right to make final determination, at its sole discretion, about eligibility for initial, continued or repeat stays by any family, as well as room location and (re)assignment.
Guest Expectations
To maintain the comfortable and pleasant atmosphere of the House, it is necessary for families to help by cleaning up after themselves in all common area and their assigned room and by respecting the rights of other families and the rules of the House.
Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM.
